Founder, Grandiflora

Opened in 1995, Saskia Havekes is the founder of Grandiflora in Sydney's Potts Point. Her sculptural, dramatic and openly romantic vision has influenced interior styling, hospitality, fashion, editorial and truly revived the etiquette of giving, and living, with flowers.

Since opening Grandiflora, the business has grown to more ambitious heights with the development of six intricate fragrances, the publication of four vivid books and the construction of complex designs for stand-alone events.

Pushing the creative potential of floristry, Grandiflora is built on the desire to bring the world into a deeper understanding of plants and flowers.

Jayne Christian is a Baramadagal woman from the Reid/Goldspink family of the Dharug Nation.

She chairs the Parramatta City Council First Nations Advisory Group and serves as an Ambassador for the Treaty Council. With a decade of experience as a social justice lawyer, Jayne has dedicated her career to working with Aboriginal communities across NSW and is currently running for Parramatta Council.

She is an active member of weaving communities in both Wagga Wagga and Western Sydney, participates in the Parramatta Weaving Garden Collective, and practices both traditional and contemporary weaving and bush dyeing techniques. Jayne uses weaving as a cultural practitioner to maintain a strong Dharug presence on-Country and contribute to the process of truth-telling of Country.

Founder and Creative Director, Bianca Spender

A leader in Australian design, Bianca Spender has earned her reputation as one of Australia’s foremost design talents.

Celebrating 15-years of the label in 2023, Spender exudes a quiet confidence, guided by emotive design and artistic spirit, showcasing her breadth of skills as a designer. Spender’s sophisticated constructions are amplified by audacious colour palettes and luxurious, hand-picked fabrications.

Guided by Martine Sitbon during her time as a Junior Designer in Paris, Spender has been revered by the Australian media since launching her label in 2008 and has been labelled “the designer of her generation” by leading journalists.
